I am traveling to St. Thomas on the 5/9/08 Explorer of the Seas voyage out of Bayonne. We have a 9 month old and a 5 year old. How can we get our little girl to the beach safely?
From what I read on this site, the cabs and buses have no seatbelts to hold a car seat. Should we just rent a car for the day? If we do rent, do the rental companies have car seats for rental too?
If cabs and buses are out, is there a nice beach in walking/stroller distance to the dock?
While buses usually don't have seat belts, cab may or may not. No guarantee but they might so it's worth a try bringing the car seat . Keep in mind though that you'll then have to carry the car seat around with you once you're dropped off at the beach. Quite a predicament, I know. You have to do what you feel most comfortable with though.
Smooth sailing,
