We going on the Carnival Pride to Cabo/Mazalan/PV in Dec. with 3 year old and 10 month old... should we just take it easy and sit on the beach all port days or actually try to book an excursion? (excursion recommendations very much welcome)
On excursion where cars are involved, what do people do with babies who will not have a carseat??
We have actually used carseats in Mexico cabs and rental cars with no problems when the kiddos were small. I don't know if I would chance taking a baby in a car without one. Of course, in large tour buses you probably not find seatbelts and so it is a tough call to make.
When my kids were that age, we'd usually take a cab to a beach. That way we could leave when they got fussy, rather than having to wait until the shore excursion bus was ready to take you back to the ship. Also, during each cruise, my husband and I would usually take a turn going on one shore excursion solo while the other hung out w/the kids so that at least someome got to see some of the sights!
When we did Disney and Carnival we left my son (under 3) on the ship so that we could do things like the zipine thru the rainforest. They still have fun and you get to do something unusual. We did take him when we did private island or beach type trips.
