Grandparents/Toddler 1st time - Questions

My wife and I are planning a cruise with our toddler (22mos) and his grandparents for 5 days on Carnival Fantasy in January. This is a Christmas gift for them and first cruise for them and grandson. How can we offer them alone time and time with grandson in a good balance? We don't want them to miss out on that first cruise experience because of the limitations of travelling with a toddler, but don't want them to feel "dumped" at night, either.

Also, how are Carnival's cribs for the toddler age set (he's already 32")? Thanks in advance for your tips/advice.

We just cruised with our 7 month old GD and it was fun. It wasn't our first cruise and we never felt "dumped" on. We were on RCCL but most cruiselines are the same. We were given a PackNPlay for each cabin and she slept 10-12 hours each night. They used regular bed sheets specially folded for the crib. We took her to the shows while they enjoyed the night life. They brought the large stroller that can go flat so she could sleep in it. We sat in the back and never had a problem. The wait staff was wonderful and had a high chair at dinner each night. I recommend buying a $5-10 blow up pool at WalMart/Target because he can't go in the regular pool but don't forget swimmie diapers, pool toys and a bucket. We took the baby food in the plastic containers. Maybe bring a baby food grinder if he is not totally on solids. Have fun!

You'll have to call Carnival to get specifics on the crib size. They vary per line; however most do use a pack 'n play which are fairly roomy.
