I'm taking an NCL cruise in March with my 4 yr old and then 20 month old and just found out they don't allow swimmies in the pools. Since it is HIGHLY unlikely that she'll be potty trained by then, does anyone have any suggestions at to what to do? I can't imagine letting one swim and have the other one just sit and watch, how torcherous! I've seen some people talk about the pool up tubs but they seem so small. Any specific brands would be greatly appreciated!
Alas, it is a problem. Many folks do bring little blow up pools just so their little one has a spot to splash around in out on deck. THere are only a few cruise lines which allow kids in diapers in their splash areas -- this includes Disney Cruise Line and some of the new RCI ships. They use different filtration systems in these areas from the rest of the pool zone in case a diaper leaks.
We took a $5 blow up pool from Target for our granddaughter and it worked great. Just remember to bring a bucket to help fill it up and pool/bathtub toys for play.
