I am trying to plan a cruise for my 14 year old daughter and I in early October. She wants to go on something that is more than 7 days. I have been to the Caribbean 6 times and would like to find something elese that we both would enjoy. We wanted to go on Disney but that is not going to work out and they seem to be more expensive than the other lines. Does anyone have suggestions of 1) Where do we go; and 2 what cruise line should we go on (or not go on). Thanks!
I'm sure it will be easy to find one that is 7 days, otherwise there is some canal trips that are longer, but most likely less kids your daughters age...May-be try another 7 day and look at Carnival and Royal Caribbean, both are more geared towards traveling with kids...These newer Royal Caribbean ships, Oasis and the Freedom class are ideal for kids, heck I love em...
How about looking at Royal Caribbeans Explorer of the Seas. It is a big ship, with lots of stuff for teens, they have 9 day cruises that go to Bermuda and the Caribbean. I am taking my family of 11 on Freedom of the Seas next year. I have an age group of 3-14; Freedom of the Seas seems to have enough stuff onboard to keep all ages busy. I have sailed on both Explorer and Voyager of the Seas. Freedom is a little larger and it has a few more areas of what I call play toys. It has the flowrider surf machine, it has the H20 zone, and it has a teen disco. Hope this helps.
