formal night on Royal Carribean

We will be on a 7 day cruise out of Puerto Rico on Royal Caribbean.
My 13 year old son hates dressing up. He doesn't mind wearing dark jeans, a white shirt and a suit jacket with black running shoes.
Would this work for the formal night? or would he look out of place?

He will be fine....amd I am sure the staff will not look askance..At that age, getting them in formal wear would be tough going...have a ball!

No worries. At least he agrees to wear a jacket.

On my last cruise, there were teens with jeans and t-shirts on formal nights but they weren't allowed into the dining rooms for dinner until they at least had an appropriate shirt on.
