Default Lots of questiosn

Ok, I'm banking on your expertise to answer my questions.

1. How much does it cost to park at the Miami docks while on the cruise?

2. When on excursions, do you need to exchange US currency?

3. How much are the laundry facilities?

4. What about tipping? Cost?

5. When can you board? We are driving in from Jacksonville and won't be staying
at an area hotel.

6. Anything else I should know?

Thanks for your help!!

Hi Sandi,
It costs $10 per day payable in CASH. If you are handicapped Miami provides complimentary parking.
US Currency is widely accepted and in the Caribbean is really the only currency you really need.
Laundry, (the self serve kind) is $1.50 per load if I remember correctly plus drying which is another $2-$3 plus soap.
Tipping is up to you but the suggested is usually around $3.50 per day per person for your waiter and room steward and an additional $2 pp for the busboy. Figure around $9pp per day average. Yoiu can adjust it up ot down according to your level of service. The bar drinks automatically add a 15% tip. You can either tip personally, (my preferance) or have the ship take it out of you account and automatically distribute it.
Boarding time is usually anywhere from 11:30AM to 2PM and averages out around 12:30 - 1PM We live in St Augustine and leave around 5:30AM for the drive down. Take exit 5A directly to the port.
As for what else you need to know, nothing you NEED to but lots should may want to learn about. Main thing is to remember to have fun!
Jim
