boy voyage party?¿

hi my family and i are first time cruisers. . . we are goin on the inspiration out of New Orleans this sunday. . . my questioin is, is there some sort of "boy voyage" party when you leave new orleans. . . my mom is going shopping tomorrow and she wanted to know if she needed to pick up anything like silly string or something like that!! Bon Voyage is no longer like that opening scene on Love Boat. However, most cruisers go out on deck or onto their balcony and waive to those who they leave behind on shore. The Caribbean music band will be planning and bar tenders will be trying to sell you those $6.95 pretty umbrella drinks. No silly string - the environment you know is a major concern of the many cruise lines. Usually sail away is right around 1st. seating for dinner. So you may want to be ready for dinner if yours is that early. If not, just wear your shorts & t shirt and prepare to have a lot of fun.

I like HORNS! Flags, signs...especially if there is someone you know seeing you off.

Just be careful to keep everything on board, and NOT drop into the ocean.

I've only sailed from NoLa once, but, WOW was it fun.

There was a "second string" band playing all the great songs, we all received Mardi Gras beads, and it was more happiness than should probably be allowed.

Don't miss the Aquarium in New Orleans if you have enough time.
