Default Need advice about Norwegian Sea

Hi all,
I'm cruising on the Norwegian Sea on Jan 25th to Nassau from Miami.

Does anyone have any past experiences they'd like to share?
good or bad?
Do's or dont's?

What are the best tours?
Is it too cold in the Bahamas for snorkeling?

What is the temperature like on the ship?

Any advice would be very helpful...

thanks!
Sara

Hi, Sara ...

You might want to cruise over to the "Cruise Lines" area and post under the NCL topic.

We have friends who were on the Inagural of the Sky and loved the ship. There have been some slightly negative reviews, too.

Nassau can be a little nippy in the winter months. It mostly depends on the day or the week. I wouldn't go without a cotton sweater, just in case.

You will be able to adjust the temperature in your stateroom to whatever you feel comfortable with. The dining rooms and show lounges can be a bit chilly, so take along a shawl or something to cover your arms if you tend to feel cold.

Keep asking! Plenty of folks will be along to help out however they can.

Sara ==>

Sorry to say that I'd rather take a leaky kayak to the Bahama than an NCL cruise. But that's not my purpose here.

Yes...the water should be just fine. Depending on the weather, there might be a slight chill to it. It all depends on what you're used to. But I'd go ahead and plan on snorkelling.

Have a great trip...JimM

I agree with Jim,would rather row my own boat than take NCL ( especially the Sea ) Sorry. She's pretty worn and tired looking.

You will love the change of scenery though. Avoid the dining room, the food was not very good. Spend the money and go the Bistro (the food was very good)

You can always check the the weather channel.com too. That way you will know exactly what to expect as far as temperature.

Have fun in Nassau!

Donna

Oh, Oops.

I "read" Sky, not Sea.

I was a "first-time cruiser" on the Sea over Thanksgiving -- we went to Cozumel, Mexico and Key West, Florida.

The food left a lot to be desired but the shows were good and I found the staff very friendly.

I found the ship very clean and the stateroom had much more space that I was expecting.

How long will you be in Nassau?
