i'm sailing on royal caribbean next week and would like to know when is the best time to book shore excursions? i'd like to book them before we leave, but what if the weather turns out to be bad that day. will we get refunded?
If the excursion is cancelled (and I presume you are talking about excursions through the ship) you will get your money back.
All ships also publish cancellation times for upcoming ports. This is usually about 48 hours in advance, varies in some cases.
All of this should be spelled out in the excursion brochure that came with your documents.
That did happen to us on our Explorer cruise last year and they gave us a credit within a few minutes, you can check your account right on the TV in your cabin. If this excersion is a ship excersion, go ahead and book it online, your tickets will be in your cabin when you board, certain ones do tend to fill up quickly, so if its really something you want to do, go ahead and book it.
