Default First Time Cruise

My husband and I are taking are first cruise Feb 4. We have been so excited. But now I feel alitter bummed. We are sailing with Norweigien Sea. I have read some pretty bad reviews about it. I hope we didnt make a huge mistake. As I said, we have been so excited about it.

Any advice or insight.

Hi Trac,
Any vacation is basically what YOU make of it, don't be bummed by everything you read, just go and enjoy it, I'm sure you will both have a great time :-)

Here is a link to a members review from last month:

A lot of the reviews you read are from people who like to gripe about everything, the one person out of 2000 who for some reason had a bad experience, someone who was steered to the wrong place and others who had expectations that were different than their actual experience for whatever reason.
Approach your cruise with an open and flexible mind. Approach it with the idea that from the moment you walk toward the ship, everyone you encounter from the cruiseline has only one goal in mind, your satisfaction.
Understand that for your security , you will wait on a line here and there.
If you encounter something on board that you have a reasonable expectatation to think should be better, speak up and let your desire be known. Remember , one cold cup of coffee doesn"t ruin a vacation.
One thing about a cruise, there is something (lots of things for that matter)
for everyone. That is the beauty of a cruise vacation.
Enjoy your cruise , you have not made a mistake.

Hi, trac ...

A friend who's a medium-experienced cruiser went on the inaugural of the Sky and enjoyed herself tremendously even with all the shaking-out that was going on.

Remember, as a first-timer you have no standard of comparison, so you probably won't have a thing to complain about.

And, as the post above said, there are people who just like to complain.
