Default By the elevator!

We just got our documents and we are by the elevator. I've been monitoring this board and seem to remember that this is a very noisy place to be. Any advice or comments.

Hi Minnow,
We've been fairly close to the elevators and it never bothered us as all. Once we were right under the pool deck and could hear tables and chairs being moved around, nothing that annoying, so I don't think you will have a major noise problem, seems once you close your cabin door, you don't hear a whole lot.

We were right next to the elevators in 2000 and never heard a thing. Don't worry! Should be just fine.

We were right next to an elevator bank on our last cruise and didn't have any problems. It was also a lot easier to find the cabin!

Have to agree with Pamda. We were on a deck that was nothing but cabins and the elevator made a great landmark for finding the cabin easily. There was no more noise than a typical hotel room.

We were on the Explorer last month with a cabin on the other side of the elevator wall and didn't hear a thing. In fact I just realized we were that close after seeing this post and looking at the ship's layout again. Marnie and Pamda are right when they say it's a good landmark and also convenient.

Put me by the elevator any time -- so much faster to pop between the cabin and the pizza place at 1 a.m.!! :-)
