Default finally - the dream cruise!

Just had to share the excitement - we leave in 9 days (for a week in NYC before leaving on May 11th on Explorer). I really can't wait! I've read a lot of your questions, answers, etc. I've cried when you guys couldn't go, and cheered when you left. Now it's my turn!

Wish me luck - hope we don't lose our lunch (or something more personal) parasailing in Labadee!

You know you are going to have a wonderful time on the cruise. If you haven't been to NY before here is my 2cents. NY is awesome also-don't let the rep of people being rude scare you. It is not generally true and most people are wonderful(although between 7:45 and 9:15 you are not likely to want to be asking directions on the street, you WILL get run over(even by pedestrians:>) Gotta do the staten Island ferry just for the view when you return to Manhatten. Remember that on the subway that uptown and downtown are indications of directions not destinations(I was a dumb kid and had NOT A CLUE when I first arrived in the city-you probably already knew that)

Bon Voyage and Happy Travels

Hi Marilyn,
I just know you will have a wonderful time! Wow, you really going to parasail in Labadee? Me, I was too chicken, but we did do the waverunner tour, that was a total gas, if you have time either before or after, sign up for that. Enjoy Explorer and the entire cruise!

Looking forward to hearing all about it :-)

Wow. A week in New York THEN a cruise ??? You will be in sensory overload !!!

Public transportation is excellent for daytime use. I like to just ride on the 5th Ave. bus.

You are in for the thrill of a lifetime when you leave New York harbor.
