Default Camcorders...

I've just a bought a Camcorder it the small palm type. Is it safe to leave this in my room, or use in ports? or should I just use it on the ship. I'vebeen on RCCL 's Grandeur of the seas, the room had a small safe in the cabin (I wonder if it would fit?). Also, would anybody know if High Humidity levels affect JVC camcorders?

Hi Zac,
Yes, definitely see if it will fit in the safe when you are not using it, and by all means do take it with you off the ship, just keep an eye on it, don't leave it un-attended. You may notice the lens getting fogged up with the high humidity, not a whole lot you can do about that. Enjoy the new camcorder and cruise!

Definately bring your camcorder! It does fit in the safe. I filmed hours upon hours of our cruise!

Hi, Zac ...

It should fit in the safe when you are not using it.

My best hint for small cameras and camcorders ... get a lanyard that you can belay to a belt loop so you can keep the cam in your pocket, ready to go in an instant. Just make sure the lanyard is long enough to get the cam from pocket to focus moment.

Oh, and make sure that you have big enough pockets

Another hint for larger stuff, put it on the floor under your chair with the chair leg inside the strap. Make sure your partner says, when you leave a table, "Got the camera?"

Have a wonderful cruise and if we can help more, just ask !!!
