Hi,
Taking voyager of the sea in June. Was wondering about the weather in the western caribbean during that time, i.e. temp, rain, rough seas? Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
Seas generally run 20 to 30 feet with temperatures of 110 to 120 degrees fahrenheit. It rains 24 hours a day and there is a 90% chance of Hurricane.
Ok Ok I'm kidding. Generally the Caribbean is a big warm bathtub. Absent any storms, seas are quite calm. Expect temperatures to be warm and humidity to be at "bad hair day levels". This makes the ships' pool and those beaches all the more inviting. At sea, the movement of the ship will provide a welcome breeze. You can encounter the odd , usually quick, afternoon shower. Although very very rare, June is the beginning of hurricane season (much more likely from late August through mid October). In truth the likelihood is you will encounter calm seas , warm weather and mostly sunshine.
Have a Wonderful cruise
warm, and sunny - you will feel the humidity much more on the islands, always a welcome breeze on the ship. Pop-up afternoon showers that last about 10-15 minutes. Warm, beautiful nights.
We were in the western caribbean June 2002 on the NCL Sun. Perfect weather-calm seas, no rain, humid on the port excursions(very humid) We had a balcony, wonderful sitting watching the ocean go by. Never felt the ship move. Pools were salt water and always being refreshed, never hot. It ws the Best! Ariving back in Miami on June 8, it poured down rain, and kept it up for at least the next 6 days..Oh well, thats also part of the adventure..This year, it on the Galaxy to the esatern caribbean.. an so the adventure continues!
Have a great time planning your cruise! Planning is half the fun!
