travel irons

43 days to 1st cruise, going crazy with excitement! So many questions. Is it a good idea to bring along a traveling ironor for knit shirts etc.? Any other tips like power strips...Y Why do people suggest duct tape? (love this site}-Terry

Re: travel irons

Rather than a travel iron, which can be a fire hazzard, I suggest a travel steamer. Just as effective, but much safer. Power strips important if you have a lot of plug ins, like recharge batteries, cameras etc.

Duct tape is well.... just duct tape. Whatever breaks, duct tape will repair it <G>

Check with your cruise line, many have banned them as fire hazards. I have brought mine in the past, and have never used it. I just hang the clothes up in the bathroom and turn on the shower as hot as it will go and steam the wrinkles out of them. Lots of folks have been raving about that spray-on wrinkle reducer product.
