Default bringing wine

Are you allowed to bring wine on board for your cabin? We're going Celebrity and I would enjoy a glass on the balcony. This is our first cruise and I'm getting mixed answers on this.

There is no problem taking wine onboard. If you want to drink it at dinner they do charge a corkage free. I believe Celebrity's fee right now is $12/bottle.

Can I bring my own wine aboard and have that wine to drink in my cabin in the evening?

Yes you can. Don't forget your cork opener and pack it in a pocket of your checked luggage wrapped up, unless you are flying then you may have a problem. The steward will ice it down for you even.

HI, i am going on my first cruise in dec for my 5 year anniversary on RCCL Monarch of the Seas. I do plan on buying an occasional drink on board, but is it okay to bring a bottle of Champagne for my anniversary night and enjoy it in my cabin? And if so, how would i pack that?
