I was curious to know if you have already booked a particular cabin, and you are given an upgrade, do you have the choice to keep your original cabin? We are booked on a wrap around catagory 11 suite on the Carnival Pride on the Panorama Deck in March. We have heard that the Balcony is great (very large) and being the highest deck up is also nice. Our concern is that what if we are offered a catagory 12 suite (which usually goes for about $600.00 more per person) that is on a lower deck although the cabin size if larger the balcony is smaller. Any suggestions?
If they offered me the Cat. 12 for free I would'nt take it . You have in my opinion the best cabin on the ship. Great views, large wraparound balconies and good size room. The Cat. 12's are low in the inside hump. When your at your balcony railing and look down your looking at the top of a life boat. For the best catagory (12?) the balcony should have a better view. Stick with what you have, you have the best, they can't force you to upgrade unless you have a Cat. 11 guarentee.
Thank you so much. I know it seems strange to worry about getting an upgrade, but what you have told me about the cat.12's has put my mind to rest. We had cat. 12 suite on the Ecstasy and we really liked being able to look directly down at the water with no blocked view, but the lay out of the Pride is much different from the Ecstasy.
