Default Money

Hi. Our excursions will be pd for in advance. Souvenirs will be bought w/ credit card. Tip money will be set aside. What's a good amount per person to bring? $200? Mucho gracias!

How long are you going, how much do you drink and do you plan to buy anything on the ship (booze to take home, tobacco products, clothing, souvenirs)? There are lots of places to spend money on the ship but you must use your sail and sign card. Have you given any thought about gambling?

7 day West Caribbean. I drink very little. Don't gamble. Sail and sign card can be pd for w/ my credit card, right?

You should be able to charge just about everything on board to your S & S Card. The only cash you might need on board would be for tips (e.g. for room service if you request something special). On excurions the drivers/guides expect to be tipped also.

Hi Deb,
I'd take at least $200, may-be more like 400/500 for just in case. You can always bring it back home with you if you don't spend it all :-)

There are safes in the room for you to keep cash and valuables in. If you have extra cash just put it in the safe and bring home whatever you don't spend.

Also, there are ATM machines onboard and the Purser's desk will cash personal checks for you if you need more cash.

Regards,
Thomas
