Hello all you wonderful cruisers! My hubby and I leave November 30 for 7 days aboard Vision of the Seas to celebrate my 50th birthday. This is our first cruise and we are anxious and excited. I've read that we can take sodas, wine, beer in our luggage but not hard liquor. Is this accurate? We are on the Bridge Deck, in a suite, quite close to the library and the lifts in the middle of the ship. Is this good regarding the motion of the ship? Neither my husband or myself have ever experienced seasickness on short excursions. Should we buys the patches or the sea bands? And finally, our itinerary includes Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. If you have any suggestions on what to do, or not to do, i.e. shore excursions, we would love to know! Thank you so much for any input! This cruising stuff is quite foreign to us, but we are welcoming it with open arms. Thanks again!
Hi. I'm no expert but it has been my experience that mid-ship cabins are the best for minimizing movement. I am prone to motion sickness so I use the sea bands...they work great. Get them in drug stores....maybe at airports too....not sure. Have fun.
