GRATUITIES

WE WILL BE SAILING ON OUR FIRST CRUISE AND HAVE PRE-PAID THE GRATUITIES BUT WAS WONDERING IS THE ANYTIME I NEED TO TIP? I UNDERSTAND IF WE USE THE SPA OR MASSAGE SERVICES WE WILL NEED TO TIP THE PERSON THERE BUT HOW ABOUT ANY OTHER SERVICES THE CRUISE LINE PROVIDES THAT ARE NOT INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS?

The only other people to tip would be the porters ($1-$2 per bag) and room service if you order it. We've also tipped excursion providers who have provided us with excellent service, but its not required.

You will also need to tip for room service.

Re: GRATUITIES

So, I have a question that goes along with this. Is the room service food included in the cruise price? If yes, how much are you tipping the person that brings it to you? (I am assuming you don't know the price of the food since is included)

Generally, around $2. If its a really large order, I would tip more.
