PASSPORT WAIT TIME

Our passports arrived 4 weeks two days after they were applied for. Fairly quick and painless.

That about how long it took us to get ours. I'm sure the wait will increase toward the end of the year.

Thanks Don,
I'm sure people will be interested to know how long its taking now. A good reason to go and get those passports now while the wait isn't terrible.

The cruising world better get ready for if I like cruising, and I am certain I will, it will have a fun loving couple to join its ranks. That will mean any ship we are on will become a FUN ship.

I'll bet the wait times will get longer once the new passport laws go into effect and more people are applying.

Re: Re: PASSPORT WAIT TIME

A passport can be renewed much faster than that. Last year, I was going to Paris to visit my daughter. On the night before I was leaving, I checked my passport, and realized that it had expired. I panicked, and started calling the Passport Agency to see if there was anything I could do. It turns out there is an emergency procedure where you can go to a Passport Agency office, and get a same-day renewal of your passport. You have to be close to a Passport Agency, and it costs an extra $65 ( I think), but it sure saved my life!
