Default Over 50 1st. cruise

I am interested in a cruise that appeals to a more
mature crowd, Prefer to avoid family cruises.
I am looking for a caribbean trip that would be
more relaxing than high energy ( no rockwall ).

I would check into Holland American. They tend to have less families and children. Also, check into cruises longer than 7 days. They also tend to attract fewer families and children.

Along with HAL, be sure to check ships and itinaries for Celebrity and Princess, they all may fit in with your travel plans. The time of year you plan to go with also effect the passengers onboad, avoid the "Spring" break time and any school vacation period for less kids/families.

Depends on your budget, Holland America is a good mid range cruiseline for that age group and Celebrity and even Princess are generally all right if you pick your dates carefully.

then there are the Higher end lines which should fit the bill very well. Crystal, Cunard, Radisson, Silversea, Seabourn and Windstar any of those.

Go to Bermuda. We did this for our 25th anniversary 2 years ago. We went on Celebrity Zenith from NYC to Bermuda. That goes out of NJ now. We liked everything about it. Bermuda is wonderful. Of course we play golf, so you can see why we liked it. We went in October--the second to last trip there before they changed to going south for the winter route. There are several ships that go to Bermuda. Celebrity Horizon goes out of Philly and there was a NCL ship in port. We also saw one at King's Wharf but we couldn't make out what it was. I think you'd probably like this cruise.

Vacations to go has a couple of Over 40 cruises per year. You might check them out. I went on the January cruise on HAL and had a great time with a wonderful bunch of people. It was my first cruise.

Princess, Celebrity or Holland America would be a good choice for mass-market lines. Do not plan to cruise during school vacations, take a cruise that is longer than 7 days.
