Default INFINITY'S "formal night" dress code/women

What is the absolute least I can get away with on "formal" nights? I dress simply and tastefully, but really don't like to get dressed up. Will a silk blouse/jacket and a long skirt, do? How about silk blouse, silk jacket, and black pants? Many thanks.
Susie

Celebrity tends to be a bit dressy. However, you'll still see everything from simple cocktail dresses to full blown gowns.

Susie - those outfits sound just fine. In fact if you look up ladies formal wear for rental on the ship they show a dressy silk blouse with a long dressy skirt. If you do pants i would do it up as a suit, and maybe add a bit of sparkle in a pin or add a dressy scarf.

Jeez, don't say that on the cruisemates board......I asked a simple question abt casual dining on Celebrity because I'm taking my 84 yr old mom on her first cruise ever. She doesn't dress up so I wanted to know alternate dining options. I was told that I shouldn't take her on Celebrity because nice pant suits aren't even "allowed" in the lounges on formal nights!
