Default Travel Agent gifts?

Hello there I am going on my first cruise next week! I have heard that if you booked through a travel agent they usually send something to your room. Is this true? If it is what have you all received?

It varies...I have received a bottle of champagne or wine in our cabin or at dinner. Once, when booking with a group, the whole table just got a glass of champagne. Another TA delivered my documents in a cute duffle bag with the companies name stitched on it, with a bottle of wine and streamers. Then on the cruise, we got 4 bottles of wine and chocolate covered strawberries delivered twice. This was for our 30th anniversary. Another gave me a document holder with notepads and pens. She told me because commissions are being cut so much, they can barely afford to even give a bottle of wine anymore. Just our experience.

its totally up to your travel agent. We have received vouchers for cruise photography, shipboard credit and wine. Don't go on your cruise expecting something and be dissapointed if your ta doesn't send you anything.

we each got a travel bag about the size of an 8x10 that unzipped to find all these compartments for toiletries and whatnot. i had no idea ta's did that kind of thing, since it was our first time with her. it was a nice surprise, though. that was 3 years ago. it will be interesting to see if she sends us anything this time.

my travel agent is fantastic and always saves me alot of money for the cruise to begin with. although she has not sent anything to me on the ship i feel she has already given me a great gift by the price i get. i send her flowers on valentines day to show my appiciation for her hard work. she really loves them and emails me with a huge thank you. that is all i need from her

antron-how thoughtful of you to remember her! I agree with you---if they give us a good deal, we don't expect gifts. This time around, we booked with AAA and we got a 3pc. set of luggage (which we really didn't need but nice anyway)

I did not expect anything and we received a bottle of wine. It was enjoyed on our first formal night
