I listen to my iPod on walks, at the gym, in the car, etc.... (you get the idea)

I'd like to bring my music on to cruise!

Will I be able to charge its battery on the cruise? I'll be in Europe on the Star Princess this summer..... are the outlets regular American 110? Or will I need converters and different outlet plugs?

There should be 110V outlets ( just not very many at all!)

I just picked up a backup battery pack that is sold by Belkin. I purchased mine at CompUSA, but I believe they sell them on the Apple web site as well.

It attaches to the iPod and allows it to run off of 4 AA batteries. I haven't tried it out yet, but I figure it will be a good backup option.

The battery pack does work. I used it when i went to Ny. We drove the whole way but it lasted for20 hours.
