We are going on our very first cruise on the Carnival Holiday 8/14/06. We had planned on not doing an excursion, but just spending some time shopping, walking around, etc. We had thought we would go back to the ship during the day to eat lunch, freshen up, etc.
Will this be more of a challenge with the tender situation, or is that still doable?
Donna is right. The dock can accommodate a ship or two. You may get lucky and be able to dock. If you do tender, the schedule will be posted in your ships paper. Its not a hassle to get to port, just takes a little extra time that's all.
Assuming you are on the cruise departing 8/14/2006 - there are four ships in Cozumel on 8/16/2006, and I wager that the RCI ship will ge given one docking space, since RCI financed the dock repairs. That leaves three ships for one possible additional space. It looks like you will be tendering, but it's no big deal. We were there in January, and tendering went very quickly. Enjoy Cozumel, and go to the Ports of Call threads for some great ideas what to do during your stay.
