Default tender port?

What does tender port mean? We are doing Mexico and our itinary says
Cabo 1-it say on bottom tender port.

You will go ashore on smaller boats rather than being tied up to a dock.

Just remember when you do have to tender, people with excursions get the first tenders off the ship. Also, be sure to allow extra time when planning your day and be sure to get back to the pier for the tender with enough time.
