Fun cruise line for 20's-30's

Hi everyone! I am trying to plan a cruise for my husband and I. I have never been on a cruise and my DH has only been on Carnival. We are fairly young (me-28, DH-35) and I am looking for a cruise line that has a lot of fun things to do (casinos, nightclubs, etc) but is relaxing enough that I don't feel like I am at a frat party. I hope this isn't offensive, but we would like a cruise line with the majority of people 25-45. Obviously, we know Carnival is an option, but I was wondering about other cruise lines like Royal Caribbean, NCL, Celebrity, etc. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

Hi Marie,
I would certainly consider Royal Caribbean. Their larger Freedom and Voyager class have plenty of extra activities you won't find on any other lines. The Freedom class have the flow rider, which is a lot of fun, plus the ice skating and even a boxing ring. They do attract a good deal of families/kids, so much to do for every age group and their entertainment can't be beat.

I'm sure you can find an itinary that interests you, these ships travel all over the Caribbean and are tons of fun.

Honestly, every cruise line you mention is going to have some or all of the things you mention. And everyone is going to have some of the things you don't want.

If you don't want to sail with families with kids, sail when schools are in session, there'll be less of them.

If you don't want to sail with a "frat party" atmosphere avoild the shorter 3 and 4 day cruises, where people tend to party harder because time is short.

If you want to avoid mostly older crowds, avoid the longer cruises.

And then, even if you listen to all the above advice, depending on the variations in the crowd week to week, you could still face some of what you aren't looking for on the cruise you chose.

BUT... if you go looking for a great time; geared up for a great time; and with an open mind of what can be fun, you're VERY likely to have a wonderful time on any of the lines you choose!

Royal would be good. I typically travel Holland America, but note the demographics on Royal are more to your range. Also check destinations and shore excursions for various lines for things of interest to you.

I'm older,44 but that is what I'm looking for too, don't feel like part of the older crowd. I want to drink and have a great time, not into stuffy,or being waited on, not easily offended.

Royal should do fine. Holland is more service oriented, which you don't seem to be into. Royal is not at all "stuffy."
