I am a first time cruiser who is going to be sailing on an exotic western Caribbean cruise through Carnival. It sails from Miami and goes as far west as Belize. I am trying to figure out when I am looking at my itinerary on the cruise are the times listed in the local time of the county/time zone? Or is it all just listed a Eastern Standard Time? The other question I have is, when I am looking at getting one of those travel alarm clocks is it worth the extra money to get one that sets the time for you no matter where you are in the world? Any help I can get on this would be great thanks.

In most cases, you just stay on Miami time throughout the cruise, if not, they will let you know. Be sure to read the daily news letter you'll get each evening, all that information will be there.

As for the clock, you can always have a wake up call if you need to be up, only clock you'll have in your cabin is on the phone, and impossible to read most of the time, especially during the nite. Unless I have to be up early for an excursion, I just sleep in, but I'm not a late sleeper, so its up to you if you feel you need to see a clock, probibily not a bad invesment.

Have fun!

Use the wake up call feature on the phone.

I bought a little battery operated Alarm clock in Ikea for 97 cents. Planning to bring it on Miracle Cruise
