While my goal in life right now is to go to Alaska next year I have been afflicted with a bug and I just don't have the patients to wait till next year to go on a cruise. I can't afford my wife kids and myself this year for alaska. I could afford myself and my wife. I just don't have a baby sitter for a week this year. I will next year.

So I can get a baby sitter for 3 maybe 4 days this year so I have been considering a 4 or 5 day cruise through Carnival. This would work well for my while I live in Oxford MS my family lives in the Galveston area so it would work well for droping the kids off. Then again the Big Easy is closer as would be Mobile. I am looking at these ports to save airfare.

Anyways should I go just me and my wife or if I can afford it I could probaly afford my kids if I wanted to go on a budget. So my question is would an 8 and 3 year old enjoy a cruise. I am pretty sure my 8 year old daughter would. But I am a bit worried my 3 year old would get bored. To be honest I would prefer to go without him or my daughter but I am limited in the amount of time of the Grandparents have left already this year. (Brother got married sucked up there vacation time.) So would the Kids enjoy it and what do the cruise lines have for kids around age 3 to do?

What months are you considering cruising, this summer????

Some great deals are going on for Septemebr and October that may afford you the ability to take both kids. RCI and Carival are great for kids...many activities and camps.
