Default Boyfriend's first cruise

Hello everyone -

I have been on two cruises before and am trying to convince my boyfriend to go on one with me. He has never been on a cruise and hasnt really been on a "proper beach holiday". He lives in England and our last few vacations together have all been to the states, so I would like to go somewhere as "foreign" or as "unamerican" as possible in the Carribbean/Bahamas leaving from the Eastern US. Our big Europe vacation will be this fall, so this is to tide me over until then

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

As unamerican as possible..... Hmmmmm

Well that pretty much rules out any cruise ship that I can think of in the caribbean.

Perhaps one of the Costa ships in the Med... cruise the Greek Isles

That might be very "american" as well. Maybe if you let us know what that means, we can help you find what your looking for.

Life is too short to let the ship of your dreams sail without you.

For instance, when I went to Cancun a few years ago, it was basically just like being in America, but actually when I was in Nassau, it seemed more "foreign". So after some further searching, it looks to me that a southern Caribbean cruise might be our best bet? I know the ships are all going to be American, over the top, etc, but since hes never been on a cruise before, that will at least be new american-ness to him

Or what about Bermuda? USVI? Or I just found a Royal Caribbean itinerary that goes to Belize?

If he hasen't been to the Caribbean before the southern Caribbean can seem pretty un-American. Aruba, Bonaire, Grenada.

Yes, if your a first time cruiser with Princess, I can use the referral program with Princess Captains Circle and your boy friend and you can receive a $50 per cabin discount on your first Princess cruise.

You must complete the referral process before booking with your travel agent/Princess.

I get $50 off my future Princess cruise for referring you.

E-mail me your names as shown on Passport and I will complete the referral for online with Princess.
It take about 48 hours. he discounts are good for two years.

Add also Curacao, Grand Cayman, St. Martin, St. Croix, Barbados, Martinique.... Might take a ten day cruise or a cruise leaving from Puerto Rico to really get out of the Americanized zone.
