first cruise

myself and my wife 38 and 40 and ma inlaw will be sailing on ms veedam on 14th dec 08 for 7 days to western carribean looking forward to it but wondering if we will have enough to do on board ship
being reading mixed reveiws on different sites
some say its a lot older persons kind of ship no disrespect ment there tho
because we get on with all age groups

but can any body put us in the picture who has being on this ship please

From what I've read, your going to have a very relaxing trip. They do have a "disco" and piano bar. They do close things up early so don't expect late nights on board.

Our first cruise was also the Western Caribbean. We sailed aboard the Zuiderdam and had plenty to do and see. At the time, we were a little older than you and I christened HAL the 'Old Geezers Line' (merely an observation and NOT a complaint). The only thing I missed on HAL as compared to other cruise lines is the lack of children, but the folks on board were always friendly and not willing to just sit around and do nothing. They were quite 'with it' and I think you'll have a lovely cruise.

We've a 15 day Hawaiian cruise on the Zaandam coming up on 12.7.08 and we're looking forward to it.

Now you're getting the idea you won't be bored I promise. Just being at sea is exiting. HAL ships are wonderful. They all have beautiful wide promenade decks all the way around to walk on . You'll love it
