I think we have settled on either an eastern or western carribean trip for our first cruise. Most likely will be 7 days.

Curious about the ships themselves. Are there several options for entertainment on most lines. Comedy shows, movies, outside activities?

What about at night. Are there bars that are open all night? Do the pools close?

Do the cabins have televisions? Can you get pay per veiw movies? HBO, etc. What about adult movies?

Congrats on your first cruise! What ship are you going on, that would help answer some of your questions.

I seem to remember, you have the options of pay per view TV on the cruise.

All kinds of entertainment onboard. The bars stay open pretty late, that shouldn't be a problem.

Mike, I would recommend Eastern Caribbean for your first.

Regardless of the line you choose, there are many options for entertainment on the new mega-ships such as the Crown Princess. On smaller ships not so much. but there is still plenty to do.

Most people on cruises are very active during the day so most people do not want to stay in the bars all night, but some stay open fairly late.

The pools do close. (On every ship we've ever been on at least.)
