Some Newbie Question

Dear All,

I have been doing considerable amount of research and am still not clear how to proceed.

I am

a) Planning to do a short cruise 3-6 nights in Aug 2009
b) Staying in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Basically I have not been able to figure out yet which is the nearest port from where I can board a cruise. I would rather skip Dubai since most of the cruise from there traverse the Middle east region which I am not interested in.

I wil be a first time crusier so want to keep it as short as possible since
a) I am aware that I might get sea-sick and spoil the vacation
b) I will be travelling with an infant (almost 2 years old) and wife (again first time cruiser)

Please advise regarding any suggestions in this regard.

Dear Donna,

To quite frank I just want to experience cruising.. Can you please advise if the Greek Islands Cruise would be a good place to start.
