To tour or not to tour, that is the question:)

You have selected your itinerary, going to see ports of call you have always dreamed to see....on this, your very first visit, would you rather take a tour to give you an overview of the port, and, get a great lay of the land, and the locals? Taste the local cuisine,and marrkets/shopping?

Or, will you be taken with specific excursions that will focus on getting you to a specific place, for a specific type of excursion?

If you do the latter, I wonder if you might feel as if you could be anywhere, doing it,and always wonder, what you missed at that destination...but then you might say, next cruise

Always a dilemma.... we often feel short changed when we just do a beach trip & miss the rest of the place. We prefer to go on organised trips just to save the hassle, we are on holiday after all.
