Single Cruiser

Hello. I'm thinking of taking a cruise in late June/early July out of NYC. I am single and will probably be traveling alone. I have heard the rates are more expensive for singles, is this true? Should I try and find a 'singles' cruise where there are others who are also cruising solo? If so, can anyone recommend a good cruise line for this? Or perhaps there are others who wouldn't mind sharing a cabin? I'm new at this so would appreciate all the help I can get...thanks for any advice.

yes, the single supplement rate can be quite a bit higher. I would suggest you post your question over on our "Seeking Cruise Companion" sight,post information as to what ports, what ship are you thinking about,etc.
