First cruise..several questions :)

Hello everyone,....I have a few questions concerning a cruise! First off to make things easier, my family( my husband, I and our 8 yr old son) are looking to take a cruise sometime next year. I've looked at a few threads on here and one that got me wondering was DRESS CODE and FORMAL NIGHTS. The ship's name is Carnival Glory. So can someone fill me in? Also how much extra cash should we bring? We don't plan on going to the casino or getting hammered

You are going to see a mixed bag of dressing, even on formal nights. Your son will do fine with a shirt and docker style pants.If he will wear a tie, I am sure he will look spiffy. A suit and tie for hubby would be nice, but many will wear a sport coat and dockers. Cocktail dress or dressy seperates would be lovely. Times have changed with dress codes in the past few yrs, I have not sailed the Glory, bit others will fill in the blanks

A rule of thumb is $100.00 a day.This will vary up and down, depending. Remember how costly photos can be, so, a nice family portrait will be a nice memory..All those pictures really add up. Gratuities will automatically be added to every bar tab . Check out the availabitily of soada cards it you all are big comsumers of it...

Excursions off the ship too, will be less costly, so, when you look at ships excursions, remember this, unless it's a major to do,and you don;t want to miss out! I hope you have a wonderful time.
