Carnival out of Miami question
Hello all,

Let me first say this site has been by number one source of cruise info since I started looking for cruise info. Thank you!

My first cruise is Carnival Glory April 15th, 2012 7 days Cozmel, Belize, Rotaan, Grand Caymans.

We are flying into Miami. We wanted to take a taxi and I looked up it is a set cost for like $25 to the terminal. Can anyone confirm this?

Also our return flight is late at night so we will have a day to spend in Miami so we are thinking about going to the zoo amoung other things. But that leaves the aspect of our luggage. Any suggestions on where to stash our luggage for the day? Would be easy just to check it early at the airport or not?

As for the time before your returnn flight, we are pretty sure Carnival offers debarkation port excursions that will include shuttle service to the airport. They secure your luggage until you get to the airport later in the day.

If you go on, go over all the required check in stuff like FunPass and onboard expenses, have a look at your sailing and the part where they offer shore excursions in Miami on the last day. Looks like they offer "South Beach Experience - Miami Airport ".

Or, you may find a local resort that offers a day pass for you to get a room and facility access for the day.

The fare from the airport to cruise terminal sounds about right and that is for the cab, not per person, then plus a tip. Should take 20 minutes to half an hour, depending on traffic. You can also find out during the cruise, what they offer for post cruise excursions that will then leave you at the airport, along with your luggage at the end of the tour.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I look on Carnival and the post cruise excursions tend to to be morning 2-4hrs in duration. Our flight home is at 9pm heh. I guess they could have lockers at the airport for such things. Maybe that is the route to go.

I believe I'm correct that since 9/11 there are no lockers in airports anymore.

I believe that is true, plus there are only a few hours before your flight where you can check in luggage..

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 08:26 PM.
