Is it better to book directly with a cruise line or would I get a better deal with an on-line travel site?

I always use a cruise Travel Agent.

I too will always use a good cruise travel agent. You can always e-mail and call them with problems, concerns and your questions. Plus, it doesn't cost you anything more and in some cases you can get some extra perks by booking with an actual agent.
What cruise are you look at? |
My travel agent has thrown in extra perks on several occasions.

My advice would be to use a cruise specialist travel agency. The cruise lines do not have travel agents taking your reservation, and, many of them have never cruised.
Many people don't realize that you can book with a line, if someone does feel they offer they will get, will never be beat, then transfer to a travel agent, [within a certain time frame] to get the service & attention they will not get with the cl....many times, once transferred, they may find a better deal was out there. One specific thing that I would say, is not to buy the cruise line's travle insurance...let your travle agent, explain why you need and and all your options. Since this service does not cost you a dime, why not get the best service available for free. Let us know how you proceed. |
Travel agent for sure. Mine throws in credits usually of $25-100, sometimes a speciality restaurant or even gratuties. :D

Biggestmamambear, your requirements can be handled by a travel agency, they have deck plans, and availabilty as well...I too have been in a HP cabin.
You should make a post under the forum: looking for a cruise companion, to get results....we have great success matching cruisemates... good luck. |
