Default Insurance?

This will be my 10th cruise but since its a bigger trip I want to put insurance on it. Its a 12 day Alaska and Princess is quoting me over 240$ each person. Can I get insurance anywhere else cheaper? Thank you for any advise

Don't buy the cruise line insurance. Go to insuremytrip.com and price out some alternatives.

I have been happy Alianz travel insurance.

Also: Make sure you get one that waives pre-existing conditions. You may be out of luck if you booked your cruise over 14 days ago.

There are some Alianz packages that will waive the pre-existing conditions if insurance is purchased before final payment.

Take care,
Mike

I second everything Mike said!

NEVER purchase the cruise line insurance - always cheaper and better policies doing through independent companies.

Insuremytrip.com is a good tool, but two things to remember; biggest name is not necessarily best policy because it's the their customer service when a claim is filed that determines how good they are. And secondly, best price may not be the best deal.

Talk to your agent as they usually have companies they work with and feel comfortable with.
