We are a couple in our 20's from India coming to usa for our honemoon have decided to take a cruise to the Bahamas for the Valentine. So we have shortlisted 2 options- Royal Caribbean Majesty of the seas and Carnival Liberty..Did not consider Norwegian as it is too expensive..first of all what is the best time to book any of these 2 cruises(Cost wise).Pls decide which is the better one for first timers considering all these points-
1) My wife is a vegan and i am a carnivore. So where can we find a convenient meal for both of us?
2)Which one if for parties??
3)On which cruise can we get the liquor at cheaper rates?
4)Which one is better for on board activities..We do not want to stay in the cabin..
Thanks in advance
Personally, I think that you would enjoy Royal Caribbean, but any of those ships would make for a nice cruise.
Since you are on your honeymoon, you should get a nice cabin. On a honeymoon cruise, you should spend some time in the cabin.
Carnival Liberty New Year's Eve 2007
Liberty of the Seas 5/2008+11/2009
Allure 1/16/ 2011
Vision OTS 2-14-2015
Freedom OTS 3/6/16
If they are both short cruises they will have quite the party atmosphere
You won't find alcohol inexpensive on a cruise though it might be cheap ashore.
Be sure to budget for tips.
You might also investigate all-inclusive resorts
All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; John Masefield
Carnival: Glory 2004, Destiny 2008, Splendor 2009, Freedom 2011, Valor 2012, Dream 2013
Celebrity: Summit 2011
Princess: Ruby 2010, 2014, Caribbean 2013, Coral 2014, Regal 2014, 2016
Sail Windjammer: Mandalay 2017
Star Clippers: Royal Clipper 2015
Between those two, for 20-somethings, I personally think you'd find the Carnival Liberty a better option. It's a bigger newer ship and has more amenities than the Majesty of the Seas.
But if it were me and I wanted cheap, I would be looking at the Carnival Victory going to the Caribbean. Definitely much better than the Bahamas.
And FYI.... I have a group of 15 people who are originally from India and I've booked them on several Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Most of them are Indian Vegetarian and have enjoyed the variety provided on both Carnival and RCCL, so you won't have a problem with your dietary preferences.
