Where are you going and from where?

If it's a closed-loop cruise - meaning you're leaving from and returning to the same U.S. port, and are going to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, Mexico, etc., then you don't need a passport. But you will need an original birth certificate - not a copy.

If you're going on an international cruise, you'll have to go to the local passport office and get one immediately, because you're too late to get one through the mail, even expedited takes about 8 to 10 days.

Your agent will be able to help you with getting this done immediately. That's what they're there for, so get in touch with them right away. If you booked it directly with Carnival, they won't be of any help.

We're going to 2 islands of Mexico and yes, it's a closed loop cruise. But i wasn't born here so i don't have a birth certificate.
Can i have my certified citizenship available?
My husband booked the cruise himself 😥
Do you think i can get the same day passport service?

Not knowing your specific situation, the only thing I can tell you to do is to check the U.S. State Department's website to determine exactly what you need. Basically, you'll need all required documentation you're suppose to have in order to come back into the U.S., which depending on what country you come from, will probably include a current passport. I would suggest you contact your country's embassy and see what they can do to get you a passport immediately.

Not to belabor the point, but this is why you never book directly with the cruise line, since all they want to do is sell you a cruise and not provide any service that would have helped you.

Good luck.
