Default Just booked my first cruise!

This may sound odd but two months ago I began working as a cruise consultant with a travel agency that specializes in cruises, although I had never been on anything more than a harbor cruise.

Two weeks ago I toured a cruise ship during a travel agent event, so now I have set foot on a ship, just still never actually cruised.

But happily, I was chosen to cruise for free on a special travel agent cruise on the new Symphony of the Seas in November from Miami, which is on the other side of the country for me. Since the cruise is only 2 days, I figured I'd book another one back to back.

My friend and I chose a 5 day cruise on Celebrity Infinity. That will be my first cruise. We got a great deal on a midship balcony with classic beverage package: $1225 total for two. The only problem was I spent hours helping to arrange a great deal for another couple on the same ship, and they backed out at the last minute, after we had picked that cruise to please them. Oh well, I'm still very happy with our choice.

I have a feeling I'm going to be hooked on cruising! Luckily I live in a port city, but I dont always have a travel buddy, and that's what led me here. I also have a bunch of clients who want to cruise solo. And I'm very interested in hearing trip reports, reviews, and anecdotes.

I didn't see anything in the rules barring me from offering my assistance to anyone who'd like to book a cruise, especially if you're in Southern California. Also if anyone wants to know more about becoming a cruise consultant, I'll tell you the honest truth.

Enjoy your cruise. My wife and I became hooked on cruising after our very first one. Living in a port city makes it very easy to take advantage of last minute deals.

Enjoy your first cruise. I have sailed on the Infinity and it's a great ship.
