For the first time I was charged a 3% handling fee for using my Sail and Sign card to purchase chips in the casino. This was not the case on the Triumph in May (I just returned from Pride). What's up with that? If I had known, I would have brought more cash to gamble with.

Yes, Lynn from Carnival's Ocean Players Club had posted about the change taking effect July1. Bummer! I used to love all the frequent flyer miles I got, and of course, not having to bring along all the gambling dollars.
Like kuki said, the casino used to be a great way to get "free" frequent flyer miles. Just get a cash advance from your sail and sign card,( which will come off your credit card,) play a small part of that advance, and use the rest to pay off the credit card when the cruise is over.bam! instant miles.The 3% fee does negate that, though.
