Default question for Kuki or Lynn

Ladies I m going on my 3rd Carnival cruise on 1/25 on the Triumph. I m pretty much known in most casinos in the US and the Bahamas and carry a pretty good rating. I just found out about OPC and joined via the internet. My question is this. If Carnival casino department knows a big player is coming aboard do they offer upgrades and comps or anything equivalent to what I m used to at Bellagio or Atlantis? My last cruise I felt odd paying for my cabin and drinks when I was giving them 8 hours playing time a day with black chip average.

First off you get no upgrades or comps because you called me Lady <G>

OPC's system awards you "points" for your play, which calculated later can be converted to freebies or cash on your NEXT cruise. You are basically earning future perks, rather than being rewarded with immediate perks.

If you were playing the miniums you suggest I am amazed none of the casino staff tried to enroll you in OPC.

I'd recommed calling the Player's Club office, and explain your betting averages. It could lead to an upgrade. Don't know that I'd expect much more. Even Vegas gives nothing free, other than drinks, without a track record.

Regards,
Kuki <<<< male .

Thanks Kuki. Are you advsising calling the OPC office or the Carnival casino department? I m not sure if they had the OPC in 97, but on the Destiny I did give alot of play. Anyway I m a OPC member now so maybe this cruise I ll win some cashback for the next one. Thanks a million I hope.

Although I carry several players club cards and am rated in a number of casinos, I have no idea what OPC stands for. Please advise.

KimJack, I know what you mean. I only found out about it a few days ago and joined myself. I dont know why the Carnival casino didnt rate me last trip but that was 5 years ago and I dont know how long OPC has been around, but it stands for Ocean Players Club. Looks like its better than nothing. Go to www.oceanplayersclub.com
Hope it helps.

Probably not on '97 Carnival cruises. There was no OPC on our '98 Carnival cruise. It was there on our '99 Triumph (sister ship of Destiny) trip. We had learned about OPC before we went on the trip though. Note that the credit is only valid for 18 months. In our case, due to family medical conditions, we had not been able to go on any cruise during that 18 months. So we are now saving for another half of a cruise :--).

I just joined the club, but is there a card or something you need for it.
