Default Blackjack on the Pride

Are all the tables on this ship face up or are there any where the dealer has a
face down hole card?

Thanks

There is one table with face up blackjack and all the others are standard games. I use to like to play this game because you play for a long time without losing much money. But in reality it is a bad bet.

Thomas

hello,

I love the face up game.......You always know what the dealer has. You know if you have to hit or not. Sure you lose all pushes, and don't get 3-2 on the BJ, but how many times does that really happen during a course of your session????????????????????????????????????

That's why it's really a bad bet. If you play by the book the odds of you pushing are fairly good and in this case the dealer takes your money.

It is fun to know what you have to beat but for player odds it's not good.

Thomas

Ties are relatively common and so are blackjacks.

The loss from these two things outweighs the benefit of knowing the dealers card

Hello,

Sorry jim..i dont know where you play BJ but pushes are not common and either are blackjacks. Out of 100 hands you probably wont get a combined 5. with the other 95 being win or loses......

odds of push = 8%
odds of player blackjack = 5%

face up blackjack significantly sways the odds in favor of the house. House edge is less than 1% is standard vegas blackjack if you play by "the rules".

odds of player blackjack are easy...

1/13 * 4/13 + 4/13 * 1/13 = 4.7%
this assumes an infinite deck with no history.

Odds of a push are harder to calculate so I just searched for it on the web.
