Texas Hold Em tournaments on any ships?

I am an avid Texas hold em player. Has anyone been able to find any player tournaments while on their cruise?

Thanks Barb

Most ships now have poker play and tournaments. Some ships use the automated electronic "Poker Pro" tables, others use actual dealers.

Thanks for the info. I have done the "electronic tables" at our Indian casinos here in California but prefer a live dealer. It's all fun though!!! :)

We were on the Celebrity Mercury last year and they had a Hold Em tournament every day, sometimes 2 on sea days. I think it was a $30 buy in and there was a live dealer. It was very popular-the sign up sheet was filled within minutes.

I have played and will plat again on the Catnival Legend in a few weeks.

Only drawback on Carnival the rake is horribly bad to the players. Captive audience, i guess.......

I too had heard that the rake or drop is pretty high on cruises in general. I am an avid poker player and if I eventually go on a cruise would love to play.

I've done two HAL 15+ day cruises. Both had Holdem Poker-tourney during the day and 1/2 cash game at night. On my 2nd cruise, some of the daytime tourneys were cancel because not at least 5 people showed.
