RSSC Voyager October 15

John - Thanks for the reply on the RSSC message board. We are enormously looking forward to our 19 August Baltic cruise. You said that there was usually a good contingent of FOD on board a RSSC ship. That is encouraging, although certainly not mandatory for our enjoying the cruise. Have you ever had a FOD party or get-together on a RSSC ship? We were thinking of requesting one. Reading all of the FOD party good stories/horror stories on CruiseMates message board, as well as on Cruise Critic message boards, we are a bit confused. Some lines grudgingly allow the events, some lines clearly encourage the events, some lines don't seem to know what to do. Any sense of RSSC's attitude?? Thanks for your input.

I do not see any problem with having a get together on an RSSC ship. On my past cruise aboard the Mariner, there were about 6 couples on board, and there was a group of 8 of us that got together for dinner and/or drinks on a few occassions. With the open dining and the butler service in alot of the suites, this is very easy to do.

I have noticed that some of the gay travel agencies, such as David Tours, have been organizing trips on the Radisson ships. I am sure that they are well received, or they would not be promoting the cruise line. I just checked the David Tours website, and their trip to the Baltics is the end of July on Voyager. Maybe you could get some feedback from that group.

John - Thanks for the info. I just left you a reply message on the CC site before I read this message. I will check out the David Tours group after that trip is over to see whether they have any good ideas. Ciao, Fred
