Celebrity Galaxy 2/6

Taking Celebrity's Galaxy out of San Juan on 2/6 - anyone know any fun spots on this ship?? Never cruised before (not on a ship that is) and looking for some fun while on the high seas.......

I took this ship out of San Juan a couple of years ago. It's still the best cruise I have been to date. The crew is mostly Eastern European (at least when I was on it. Think B class Bel Ami with one or two "A's") and nice to look at! I would have loved to visit the crew quarters but since I'm in a commited relationship, all I could do was look and flirt.

I spent time at the cigar bar as well as a martini bar right across from it. The only thing I have to warn you about is the airport in San Juan is crazy. As long as you know that there will be people piled on top of people coming and going, you won't be surprised.

Several Islands you visit do have gay bars or friendly ones on them. The friendly ones are usually friendly on certain days of the week, so you may not be in port at that time.

Enjoy Celebrity service. I'll be heading out on the Golden Princess (first time) on 2-14.

Thanks for your input on the Galaxy. Being first time cruisers, my partner and I have no idea what to expect but we are excited and enthused. Thanks for the tips!

As for the airport in SJU, my partner is Puerto Rican so we have been there many times. I agree, it is pretty crazy but I think it has more to do with the fact that it has been under construction for the past 6 years and is still not finished! Consequently, signs are not properly posted and people wander around trying to figure out where to claim their luggage....and no one without a ticket is allowed inside the lower level....so all of those people clambering over each other are lost tourists....not the locals.

Any ideas on organizing a Friends of Dorothy meeting on Celebrity? My partner and I are eager to meet other gays and lesbians if they are on this ship....

I, like you, will probably just flirt most of the time, although my partner and I have been known to play together with a willing group.......
